Northwest Indiana. It was too hot for me to not do something today. I usually just ac during acceleration and then turn vent on. Windows maybe cracked at 55+, but under 50/45 I like windows down.

I finally did it!

42.85 mpg

I could probably actually still get better. I had windows down and a few short short stupid drives and more city than I planned on driving.

Drove 50 mph for about 50 miles though.

I think the reason driving 55 again actually made a difference is because I used a gps a few weeks ago and found out 55 in my car is actually 57 and 60 is 62-63. So I have to drive "53" to go 55 and "57-58" to go 60. Even about "49" to go 50. 45 mph and under is accurate though.

That's great. I knew you could do it. I bet the warmer weather helped a lot, too. Slow down a bit more and avoid those unavoidable short trips and you'll do even better.

You've already passed my average for a Civic, and I'm doing better than quite a few of the manual Civics here.

Another tank over 40!

I did a second click this fill up. I've never done that before but I couldn't believe it was under 20 dollars to fill up. It only added maybe another dollar worth of fuel. So possibly got a bit better mpg, but I've been meaning to switch to doing an extra click.

Or should I not? I just drove 30 miles home from station and the needle is still on full which I cannot remember ever happening before...

It seems like it might be less accurate if I throw in my speed at putting pump back on and then it shutting off again.

Does anyone think there is a chance that driving at 50 mph would have lower mpg than at 55 mph?

Wish I'd get my scanguage sooner...
