Which engine, 3.1 or 305, did they install 350 with 5 speed yet? A friend had a 89 formula and GM wouldn't put the 5 speed with the 350, had to settle for the 305. Still a fun car. Brother had a 88 or 89 with the I think still 2.8, OK just not as fun. Isn't 93 the next generation and when the LT1 & 6 speed was brought over from the vet. One of those would be fun & have .8 & .6 overdrives.

93 was when they changed, yes.

I think its the 3.1L V6. I honestly haven't checked, and I've only had the car for a week.

Still, a week was enough to suck down a full tank of gas, and that got me here.

Wonder how it's weight & gear's compare to my Malibu, I would think you could match/beat my HWY numbers pretty easy. Checking my car stats .68 4th gear with 3.05 gears(2.074), taller than I expected, but I have 30 more HP. I think 3.42 or 3.23 gears, not sure what your 5th is, but I'd guess .75 (2.565)

Start a fuel log, I'm curious to see what it can do.

First tank was 11.5 mpg. That was all city driving... start/stop. Minimal highway.

My schedule is about to stabilize here soon and I can start to make more accurate recordings from week to week. I read somewhere that it's supposed to get 16 in town, 25 on the highway, when its stock and in good condition.

I hope to throw a tune-up on it soon and I hope that'll bolster those numbers a bit.

I'm also trying to implement more of the driving style tips, so we'll see how it goes. Its a bit beefy on the low end, and its easy to get carried away. I've not tried to see top speed, but then I really don't care about top speed.

I think I said already, but it bears repeating... I'm a computer geek... I know very little about cars aside from theoretical knowledge. So if I ask stupid questions, please forgive.

I like your altered picture on page 1 with one exception: The front license plate needs to be frenched in, or better yet; attached to the front of the downturned passenger sun visor
with 2 small bungie's.

It sort of looks like a '70's Citroen SM on steriods!
