Interesting. My requirement for the next vehicle is 6+ seating.

The problem with many 3rd row vehicles is that you can't put car seats in the back row, meaning they have to be in the middle. Then, you can't access the back row because you can't fold the seatbacks forward to access them.

I'm not taking car seats in and out every time the other seats are occupied.

I just like bench seating in trucks. Don't know why that went away. There's no reason for a shifter in the middle in an automatic, meaning there's no reason to have a console either.

Bench seats aren't as comfy during high G Manuevers the newest participants attempt in their suv/truck.

I'm the only person I've ever seen take a corner in a truck in a manner that produces preceptable lateral acceleration (though I saw one flipped onto the roof in the center of a cloverleaf onramp once). 99.99% of truck owners do 20 MPH over the speed limit when the the road is straight, and below the suggested cornering speed when things turn.

I've done fine on bench seats pushing the cornering limits.

Make them buckets if you must, but 3 across belongs up front.

Didn't catch the implied sarcasm, then?

And no you aren't the only person attempting high lateral forces while turning. You should follow me screwing with low performace drivers in porsches on circular off ramps in the F250 @ 4 ton. I get suprising side force, loud tire noises and sometimes brake fade but so far no vehicle damage.

Missed that.

Drives me nuts when people have high performance cars and are only comfortable going fast when it's straight. Big deal, a Prius will do 105 on the straight.

My perception is that big lifted truck drivers are the ones doing 90 on the interstate, geting 10 MPG, meanwhile they take a 45 MPH posted corner (which can be taken at 55 wet, pulling a trailer) at 35 MPH.

Long time ago i was really into big wide tires. Got over that quickly driving on wet or snowy roads. The pinto with M50x15 rears just skittered around so bad it stopped being fun even at stoplights whereas the stock superbug was unstoppable until the snow went deeper than 8-12"

I put belted bias F60-15s on my 1957 when they first came out. On gravel you could turn or brake, but turning and braking did neither.

With 145s on 5.5" rims, my Type III could lure lifted trucks into right-angle turns.

The 165/60-15s on the Superbeetle provoke terminal oversteer like a Porsche.

Finding way for one more airbag doesn't seem to be much of a sales argument, as some random infotainment system with a display larger than my TV does for most people nowadays
