If the edit is for scansion, I'd go with:

"...people get tremendous anxiety and depression, and you have suicides over things like this when you have terrible economies. You have death. ...definitely ... in far greater numbers than the numbers that we’re talking about with regard to the virus."

Quote:
The problem is our President speaks in a gibberish and cant complete full sentences.
He uses repetition. One of many persuasion techniques.

The point about suicides may be arguable. Suicides up but traffic accidents down?

Is there really an increase in suicide during these times? My assumption with suicide is that it's a problem of meaning. If we're healthy and our needs are taken care of, but don't find joy due to lack of meaning, it can create inescapable despair. Going through tough times though, that tends to give a person something to fight against.

What's the suicide rate in the Congo, or Nigeria compared to here? Must be through the roof since they have it much worse than most of us.

Fauci for President!

I love how fearless the little guy is, calmly telling the world to completely disregard what his boss just said.

I am surprised that he has had a job this long.

I do not know where to get new cases per day, but for the past month, deaths have been:

25-Feb 64 deaths
26-Feb 37
27-Feb 58
28-Feb 65
29-Feb 54
1-Mar 73
2-Mar 67
3-Mar 85
4-Mar 83
5-Mar 102
6-Mar 107
7-Mar 105
8-Mar 228
9-Mar 198
10-Mar 271
11-Mar 332
12-Mar 353
13-Mar 448
14-Mar 404
15-Mar 686
16-Mar 642
17-Mar 817
18-Mar 973
19-Mar 1,080
20-Mar 1,356
21-Mar 1,626
22-Mar 1,628
23-Mar 1,873
24-Mar 2,379

There were 143 deaths on Valentine's Day, it trended downward to the 26th, and on average, deaths have increased 13% per day.

World o Meter says that 422,829 people have been diagnosed. 294,820 are still infected, 109,102 recovered, and 18,907 died.

It says that 15% of completed cases died, although everyone will dispute that. If they haven't recovered then they are irrelevant to the death rate.

The good news is that 281,725 are in mild condition and 13,095 (4%) are in serious or critical, so hopefully that death rate plummets.

At this rate everyone will have it in about a month.

What kind of an economy will we have then?

It's theater. Everyone has a role to play. His is saying what the President can't.

Now, pause for a moment – reread that again – don’t skip past it. Think about what type of mindset would send such a letter and communication. Apply common sense. Trust your instincts…

Would a person of reasonable disposition send such a letter or email to anyone in their professional network? Would you ever consider writing a letter to your employer, or the family of your employer, declaring your undying love and devotion toward them?

“rarely does a speech bring me to tears”?… “please tell her I love her more than ever”?.. “please tell her that we all love her”… etc.

Seriously…. think about it. If you have ever engaged in a large system, large business, or large network of professionals, how would you react to a person inside that organization who was sending such non-professional communication? What exactly does that say about the emotional stability of such a person?

And this person, right now, with this inherent sensibility, has the most consequential and direct influence over the decision-making for the worlds most powerful nation. Stunning.

There's someone in the Executive Branch who engages in non-professional communication?

I believe Turnip is speaking the "truth" his followers want to hear, which won't ever match reality. My neighbor is a turnip addict and except for closely followng the stupid utterances, is not a bad person but has no clues as to how things actually work outside his work knowledge.

Turnip is a master showman, much likely exceeding P.T.Barnum. truth is an illusion in show biz.

This reminds me of one of my homework assignments last semester:
