Hey, that's the TVC concept we did simulations of back in the late 80s! Pretty cool, that!
I bet a tilt-rotor could go faster, but that's not quite a helicopter I guess.

...nope, the gyrocopter has non-powered rotor blades, those on the X2 are powered.

Anyone remember that from Airwolf ?
Also, they somehow managed to get that thing to loop upside-down.
I've wondered in the past what the aerodynamic flow looks like around a helicopter.
When in level flight, I'm assuming that the blades create a corkscrew pattern behind the helicopter.

you can fly a Gazelle inverted  that why we fly 'em .... aswell as the semi-factory spec apache's from you guys!

Yes! it was rather impressive to see fly, it was almost like it was on a set of strings being tugged around, flying in any direction on a whim, sideways, upside down! it made my day.
