The only time people on car forums don't freak out when someone mentions fuel economy is when gas prices are at or near an all time high.
Why not make that part of the plan instead of trying to work it in after the fact.

Maybe in the sense that I invoke a lot of refutation. It is a word, I checked. How can I 'bring' anything?

I laughed when people deserted MySpace for Fecesbook. I've been tempted by Twitter but haven't done more than lurk. Like the nine out of ten here.

You realize, of course, I made the poll so you could vote for environmentalism.

Oh and to rag on failed electric vehicle start ups and the failings of "renewable energy".

LOL, well for some folks.

I'd like to see "free" and "clean" renewable energy become the cheapest and least damaging source of electricity. My desire for that to become a reality does not mean I am now permitted to deny reality.

Same goes for EVs. I've been excited for them the last 2 decades. My enthusiasm doesn't justify dismissing their shortcomings.

Discussing the pros and cons of any technology certainly falls within the overall themes of an economic and ecology forum.

At least this person admits to what they regularly do on Ecomodder.

I drive a leaf. I make it work.

The closest thing to clean energy on earth that we can build more of in most places now is nuclear. It uses the least amount of resources, uses the least land and emits the least CO2.
Hydroelectric is great, but in the US we have run out of good places to build big hydro projects.

Galloping goalposts!

But it's certainly not Ecomodder. Environmentalism only got two votes, one more than 'don't know, don't care' at one each. Even sgtlethargic didn't give it a vote.

To the point, generating energy and feeding it to unsophisticated consumers is the road to ruination.

For instance, thermal solar [is greater than] solar electric for resistance heating.

Just ditching axial flux and radial flux for transverse flux in motor/generators would help.
