Another example: It is now possible to 3D print glass filters and couplers directly onto the ends of glass fibers.

Materials science is fun!

Edit:
Listening to Anastai is fun too.

Plus you learn about Sorting and Hashing.

You correctly identified the easter egg in my comment, and then incorrectly referenced my previous comment regarding economy as disingenuous. I was being completely serious when I said that I don't recall the environments of any species being discussed here, or how they impact other environments, which is the definition of ecology.

You're going full circle now, because if we're to discuss environment, we must discuss it in context of which life inhabit that particular environment. Rising CO2 is a benefit to the entire Kingdom known as plants. That's good news considering most all biomass are plants.

"The sum of all biomass on Earth is 550 gigatons of carbon, 450 of which is contained in plants."

Same goes for EVs. I've been excited for them the last 2 decades. My enthusiasm doesn't justify dismissing their shortcomings.
Unfortunately many EV fanboys are so blindfolded by their nearly-religious beliefs that EVs are some sort of "salvation", they get really mad whenever someone mentions any shortcoming of EVs.
