2004 Chevy Silverado 4wd Z
20.75 mpg
Simple attachement for quick removal. Not seen is 2 stainless bolts on each side, front and back to locate every time into holes drilled in bed...
Second louver installed on top to replace solid cover and allow more rear vision.
Grill block support mounts behind grill. Easy removal with 2 stainless allen bolts into nut clips on thin ABS piece that I zip tied to the grill.
Upper grill block.
ABS upper grill block and front air damn with 5.5 inches of clearance.
Changed to LRR tires, good for another 1mpg.
1st trial run with 1 louver at back with solid front-top.
Not your average silverado profile. Everyone seems to have an opinion about it.
Two sides fitted with louver to gain a rear point of view.
Version 2 with Great Stuff as a filler over plywood. Had to use wifes cheese grater to form the foam and covered with plastic for water proofing.
My 1st Aero-cap. Lauan plywood and 2x4's. Averaged 19.0 mpg.
Plastic applied over the foam. Front filler pieces on plywood actually contoured to truck cab. Belt sander was invaluable to form this contour.
Rear end caps. Belt sander was a big help here too.
Covered with upholstery vinyl.
Handles inside to help with removal. Can still haul most loads when removing the louvers.
1 louver on the back, solid front top.
Abs aero caps on wheels. They pull in just a little in the center so they don't warp. Simply used license plate threaded bolts into the stock...
