ok, gotta question. did you paint your dash white? (or something similar?)

is this to reflect sunlight out? my wife's '08 jetta is freaking hot because of it's black dashboard.

Actually I made that mat on the dashboard out of plasti-dip rubberized paint and some cheese cloth. I don't recommend this method. I will be revisiting this area shortly however with a color matching kit from plasti-dip that I found online. This time I intend to match the light tan fabric(white is very reflective but produces quite the glare I have to wear my polarized sunglasses to see properly) in the car and apply to all the major black areas of interior trim. I still need to get the window tint on there too. I'll take some pictures of mods and put them up on an album page at some point. It's been busy here lately my wife and I just had our second child a little over week ago.
