wanted to share a few pics of my minion's progress over the last year or so. She used to be an automatic, d16y7 sohc non vtec. Spun a bearing. Got a junkyard " vtec " motor ( I was no freakin' mechanic - yet ).
The motor I got was a d15b 3-stage vtec with lean burn capabilities - I thought I had a d16y8 sohc vtec. It only had one vtec solenoid, and the block said d15b - they must have thought it was just another 1.5l vtec motor.
I ran it thinking the same thing, until I decided to convert to a manual transmission. What a headache!!!

Sandblasted, powdercoated, rebuilt just like I did for the last one, only matched to the body color this time! Also rocking a bada$$ cable to hydraulic clutch conversion and mounts from HASPORT!
I bought this vx tranny from ecomodder slownugly. Sandblasted, powdercoated, and rebuilt it - all new bearings and seals (synchros were within spec as were input and output shaft) powedercoated the tranny case shiny black! LOVELY!!
