I picked up 3mpg doing under drive pulleys, stainless headers and 3 inch Gerlisch straight through muffler on my 99 4wd Silverado 3dr. I did much of what you had done first and was frustrated with 13mpg mixed city.

Switched to 89 oct and did a lot of none AC driving at 50-53 mph to and from work. Got a current best tank of 19.22mpg. Absolutely blown away right now.

Tomorrow I was going to trade the Tahoe in for a C4 Corvette for fun and MPG reasons... the 20mpg tank is now in sight I'm having second thoughts about getting rid of the Tahoe for the Corvette.

On the other hand I'm sure I can pull 30mpg out of the 6 speed C4 I'm looking at getting and it'll be a lot faster, just less practical.

I'm very split right now.

Ended up not getting the Corvette.

The Tahoe modding continues. I'll be doingmore like a 75% grill block here when I get back from a business trip till the end of October. Temps should have dropped enough to where this is a non issue.

I saw your intake temperature was 80F.
Have you thought about a warm air intake?

Yeah, the performance and engine safety half of me doesn't want to do that but the eco half really does.
