163mph rocket bicycle
Man sets speed record on bike fueled by ingredient used to dye hair
Couldn't find good tech specs but from the pic it appears to have conventional wheels and tires?!? And here I was wondering how they'd hold up to 70 mph...

I drove a go-kart with a snowmobile engine on it once; I think it was only supposed to be able to handle 5HP or so because the steering was scary, instant-crash fast. I don't know how fast it was, other than it was too fast.

I like how they refer to Hydrogen Peroxide as "a chemical to bleach hair."
Um, yeah. This is pure HO, it would melt your face off.

I wonder how fast the thing would go if it had proper streamlining?
But then, maybe just getting rid of some clothing would make a big
difference. When I first saw the rockt bike, this came to mind:
IIRC, Rollie Free, Bonneville, 1948, ~150 MPH

That green blob in my avatar has been hibernating since 2010 due to a building rebuild- still not finished, but almost. I would like to put that thing back together and wake it up with rocket power .

François Gissy and his rocket bicycle have set a new record: 207 mph/333 km/h !!!
I really like the shot aft, his legs dangling besides the rocket engine
