The other vehicles i'm comparing it to have radios. Most old Civics here in the Bay Area do not have A/C. Our weather is not as hot as So.Cal.

I never put a radio in it because honestly, I use it to commute and the car came from the factory that way. So, that's the way I kept it.

It's a 1992 and it's really easy to convert it to a Federal model. I actually have a p07-a00 ecu to convert it to Federal spec, but I wanted to keep it original and give the next owner the option to buy the ECU from me to convert it themselves.

Yeah :/

There is somebody on CL selling his 300K miles VX for $4,000 who I suspect is flagging me every chance they get.

My asking price is not what I want for the car. I posted it high because CL people love to offer you 30%-50% less than asking.

I'm contemplating removing the OEM Civic Floormats, Blue arm rest, and cover cargo and dropping the price. Most VX's I see do not have OEM floormats, an armrest, or a cargo cover and they are asking a lot for the car with high mileage. I could of swore my car would of been a pretty quick sale.

It doesn't seem like anyone cares about those little things. I bought all of those things personally and they were all really expensive because of the rare blue interior. I spent over $400 for all three pieces. (Cargo cover I was able to find new in box though, so it carried a big premium).

It seems that most people on CL think i'm trying to get rich off this car. I literally just bought it almost 3 months ago. I fixed all the little things wrong, did all the maintenance, and added those OEM pieces. Literally like a week after I "finished" the car my work tells me they are transferring me to another office really close to my house.

Timing was just terrible because it took me forever to find a VX in this condition and took more time to do all the little things to it. Now, I don't need the car anymore. Ok i'm going to get to the point of my rant. I'm just trying to get my money that I put in it back out.

I saw a salvaged 225K Cali spec VX sell for $4,500 and it had a fat dent the size of a baseball glove on the quarter panel. So, i'm really puzzled on why mine isn't gaining traction with more serious buyers.

Its a value per dollar thing.
$5k + for that old of a car? Yes it gets 45 mpg, but the $2k premium buys a lot of gas.
I picked up a 2000 HX, 142k mi, for $2700 a few months ago. Minimally maintained, but no real issues. I avg 40.5 mpg right now.

I think $4k is closer to reality. Otherwise you'll have to wait until gas jumps back up to $4.50+/gal and then you could probably get closer to $6k! Its almost like timing the stock market.

So, I don't know what to say to you.
