1995 Dodge Ram 2500 V-10 - 25 mpg possible?

It's been a while - I suppose I should have mentioned that my father in law has sold his truck. Not in western Washington, but a relative that works in the oil fields in Wyoming snatched it right up. The mileage didn't even phase him.

well some ideas any way as i typed it out, and then read it was sold.......

swap to a 5sp and 318 V-8
that will get you north of 20 mabe..
as well as the truck will be nearly 500lbs lighter..

even the dreaded carbed 360 5.9L would be better then that 8.0L dino juice sucking monster


or put a 4BT cummens in it, the 4 poper version of the 6BT
that will put yea north of 25 when empty.

manual hubs as lots of those trucks have the hole front drive lines spinning all the time on many of the 90s models it seems..
