eco modding CANCELLED

ok maybe not cancelled but im not going to go as crazy as I was planning to. I was waiting for a job offer that would require me to make a 100mile round trip daily. however the position fell through after the recruitment agency I was going through was caught trying to bribe. im severely disappointed but what can I do. so driving will only be the same 20 mile trip daily. not real room for fe improvement on the highway as I have a massive hill of about 8km where you have to break otherwise u go way too fast! and then back up the same hill in the afternoon. I will use tips from the forum to help save in the mile or so in city traffic. but the biggest saving wil be use of only 1 car now as the wife works along the same route as me

I read the thread title and thought: someone must have won the lottery! Opposite problem = bummer.

I hope you're using the Deceleration Fuel Cutoff (DFCO) on the downhill side rather than just coasting. That will help on your commute.

Sorry to hear about the job offer. You are on the highway though and aero is still important so don't give up entirely. Carpooling is really the best way to save fuel since it gets more people to work on the same amount of fuel. Someone had a thread a while ago about PMPG (person miles per gallon). Basically double what MPG you are getting since the 2 of you are getting where you need to be on the fuel of one vehicle.
