2006 Tribeca Winter Mods

hello all i think this is my first post. i wasn't sure where to post this so if it is in the wrong section i'm sorry.

so as the title says i'm looking to do some winter mods to my tribeca. i was getting 17.4 mpg city with a grill block but now im getting 15.6-15.9. i have removed the intake are cowling so the air is drown from inside the engine bay but that only increased my warm up cycle by maybe 50 yards. so i was thinking maybe making a warm air intake would help with winter mpg idk that is why im coming to the best place to find out. i havent asked my buddy brucey (also an ecomodder) about what to do. i figure i bug him enough lol.

check out my garage for photos of the grill block brucey helped me with. i cant post a link or photos yet.
