2009 Matrix cranks but will not start
My Matrix cut off while driving. The OBD code reader said it was the crankshaft position sensor. I pulled it out and sure enough it was an open circuit. I replaced it but now it will not start. I'm thinking maybe it arced out and damaged something else. Anyone got any ideas for me? Ecomodder content: I had a 2004 Vibe and made a combination cold ram air inlet/warm air inlet for it. The ram air inlet was a slot between the hood and grill. The warm air was drawn off the exhaust manifold. The tube going forward from the manifold had a bimetallic beam in it that controlled a throttle body on the manifold to thermostatically control the temperature. The cold and warm air were joined in a Y duct. Upstream of the Y there were two throttle plates at 90 degrees to each other that I could switch between with a cable. So I could go cold when I wanted or warm when I wanted to. The epa town rating was 25mpg, I would usually get about 35 mpg. The best tank was driving from Pasadina CA to Tempe AZ going the speed limit with the a/c running -48 mpg.
