I'll be there again this year. Probably on the 29th or 30th.

Robbie - could I ask a favour? Lots of photos of the Aveo RS, if it's there (it's supposed to be) please.

thanks!

Darin

If it's there I'll get pictures.

I hope it will be on the floor where I get inside and pop the hood. Last year Kia was stupid and put the Soul up on a turntable.

Here are the photos!

I hope picasa web albums works for everybody.

Overall, I didn't see anything that would make me rush to a dealership.

Wassup with the rear fender on the Wheego? The VW is very low and sleek -- but I forgot how much 4 doors helps when there are 4 seats... The aero proplem with the Fiat 500 is the round butt. The Aveo RS is nice, except for the gaping maw.

Thanks for the pics! What did you think of the VW? Too bad it was (appeared?) roped off. I'd have wanted to crawl around that one.

From the outside, the interior of the VW looked to be quite roomy. If it were for sale and the price was right, I wouldn't mind owning it. I did hear some lady ask "Why can't they make it look like a car?"

One strange thing I noticed was that the smaller car had more interior room than the larger cars. I could easily get in and out of the Smarts, but I had no head room in most of the Jaguars. And I gave myself a nasty leg cramp getting out of the FJ Cruiser. Sadly, I couldn't get close to the Maybachs.

Usually there are big crowds around the sport cars and nobody looking at the cheap economy cars. This year was pretty much the same, but there were huge crowds checking out the electric cars.

Neil, The 500 is all about image , latte's in the frattoria and being trendy.

That said they look the goods in the Italian red / white / green warpaint and they do leave a smile on your face even if you only sit in it and don't actually get to go anywhere.

Saw one here at the last motor show and fell in love with it.

Pete.
