The entire premise of the electrification of transportation is to 'eliminate' transportation's carbon footprint.

The scientific projections spell out that, there won't be any 'living' in the future, unless we, not only arrest the global carbon footprint, but also 'remove' much of the carbon that already exists in the atmosphere.
