2019 Grom
So I bought myself a 2019 Honda Grom in October, and I have to say this was a great investment at just $3500 brand new. Since I bought it I have put almost 1,200 miles on it and have only spent $31.53 in gas. I’m getting just over 100 MPG on it and that is because I have not been keeping control of the nut behind the handle bars. I just filled up today, and I will be seeing what I can get out of it with control! I have added a ram intake to it, and a full exhaust. I have also removed the big turn signals for smaller profile ones, and gotten new handle bars to lower them. I have also removed the stock mirrors and replaced with bar end mirrors. For the rear section I removed the huge ugly fender and the tail light assembly. Other than that it is stock. Looking forward to smashing the 134 suggested mpg that Honda says you can achieve.

Even though this model is not available in my country, with the closest one available being a 110cc strictly utilitarian model, I've been tempted to get a something like that for a while.

I'd love to have a Grom or a PCX150! I'm jealous!

I wouldn't disconsider attempting to make a Brazilian Honda Pop 110i at least look like a Grom.

I'd take the plastic off it and make it look more like a classic motorcycle, but that's just me.

To those that want a different look I think $500 more buys the same bike but with Cub or Monkey look. I think there is a "hunter" Cub coming out soon as well. Basically a remake of the Trail 90. Of which I have 3 of in various states of non-running in my garage already I'll trade in a heartbeat for any Grom or Grom variety.

Wish I could get ahold of the 2021 Grom it’s a 5 speed versus the 4 speed of the 2020s and below.

I've been thinking about covering compound curve surfaces with scale maille. There is a simple way of making it from laser-cut strips knitted together. Drape and spot-weld it for a rigid shell.
Else an 8/10th scale version of Burt Munro's Indian.
edit:
Here's a picture of how it works on Instructables:
