2020 Prius Eco Aero

My 2020 Prius has those, well I do not know the right term, but they are like small fins on the side, one in front and two in the back. Also, there are long fins built into each side of the body in the rear. Could someone explain to me how those work? Thanks!

2020 Prius

CAR and DRIVER said that the improvements for the 2020 Prius had to do with the roofline and underbody flow management.
Are those 'fins' under the car, near the wheels?

The roofline hasn't changed since 2016; it was refreshed for 2019, when AWD-e was added as an option--and those cars have a different muffler and lack some underbody paneling at the rear. Perhaps you're thinking of the different rear glass and spoiler on the Prius Prime?

matthewmillerwriter, do you have pics of the fins? I'm curious what you're seeing.

Some days ago, i had a unintended "tuft test" with waterdrops.

To fill the wet parts with some air, i stuck some Vortex gens inbetween.

The result is not jet valid, but i´d say its messurable. To my own suprise...
