Hey Frank,
Are the dragging breaks a common problem with many cars or is it just a design issue with Metro's. If its a common problem that one would be worth putting in the wiki and the modification list. Let me know and i can make a new page for it.

Your last tank gave you 225 'indicated' miles, so actual mileage was ~230 miles. Speedo indicates 50 mph, actual is 51.2. That is assuming the speedo was accurate anyway... A GPS could tell you really quickly.

I dunno. I've had to do it twice but I haven't worked on many Metros. Mullet might know.

Dragging disk brakes are a problem with many different marques.

This is one of the few issues that make four wheel drums desireable.

Now if you want to stop well, front drums aren't the way to go. They can be effective, but as a general rule, are not. That's why most manufacturers went to front disks.

If you've got calipers that are giving you grief, look at the price of new claws. Often-times they aren't as expensive as one might imagine. Some can be pricey though.

When I did the '94's brakes, it was cheaper to buy loaded front calipers and disks than to mess around turning and rebuilding. I count my time in the equation as well. Check the price on the loaded calipers. It's often less than buying the caliper and pads seperately.
