I know the CNG question gets asked from time to time. Apparently someone did a conversion on a 2nd gen Prius and the journalist took the opportunity to make a click bait title.
With a 5th-generation conversion kit, a Prius might respond well to CNG, even though it might be more complex to integrate its electronics and the ones from the conversion kit. When it comes to starting on gasoline, it's not really needed at all.
