The 3.0L displacement challenge :D
Both my rigs are 3.0L engines built by Nissan, so everytime I saw the 3.0L challenge thread, it gave me a chuckle.
I had a talk with the wife about improving the mileage in her Maxima to 30 mpg, showing her that it would net us about $350 a year. It's taking some doing, but now having the ScanGuage married to our car, (and my wife being an undercover tech nerd) is improving our mileage according to the SG. We've been able to average over 30 mpg daily according to the SG, so hopefully it will pan out when fill up time comes. So far I've learned that leaving the car in gear while coasting shuts off the injectors (a valuable discovery!)
So far the only mods done are making the intake more warm air than fresh air and replacing the muffler with an oversized glasspack and putting in synthetic oil. The car is consistently aroung 25 mpg, but I'm hoping for much better than that with the SG weighing in.
Assuming I can find the spare change I want a 30% boat tail on the Villager, and I'm hoping for 30 MPG from that, along with a belly pan.
