Beta wasn't unicorn material. It just wasn't up to the market.

Since it took so long, and neither Pinnacle Engines or its Asian partners released any engine with that setup into the consumer market, it might have fallen on the unicorn corral. But anyway, even though I wouldn't really hold my breath for it to happen at this point, I still believe it's an interesting project which would be great if it ever gets effectively implemented.
