45.8mpg in large Avalon on highway road trip.

I got 45.8 mpg coming back on a road trip. It was 583 miles one way with a 3,983 ft uphill increase. I'm sure I had gotten better fuel economy on the way there going downhill, but hadn't reset my MPG meter. My main helper was to pulse and glide whenever I could without upsetting other drivers.

I see the EPA rates it at 39 mpg highway so 45 wouldn't be unusual. It only weighs a couple hundred pounds more than a Prius that can get 70 mpg. Good job. Maybe you could get 50 mpg on level roads?
