I wish we could get those small displacement European 3-Cyl TDI engines... I've read of people getting upwards of 90mpg

Here here.

I wish GM would bring over a 1.0l turbo diesel, and throw it into the cobalt.

It'd get 50 MPG with ease.

Mind you, that would make the volt look bad. And the prius. So i guess it probably won't happen. Stupid politics.

Well. There's the Smart 1.0l turbodiesel, that gets 94MPGuk (79MPGus) IIRC? Isn't that sold in the US?

it,s an 800 CC IIRC, and no, it is not sold in the states, or Canada.

I had one but it blew up on me.
