FYI, I just found this interesting bit in wikipedia:
Quote:
In 1998, NHTSA granted vehicles over 25 years of age dispensation from the rules it administers, since these are presumed to be collector vehicles.[3]

Presumably that means SRV250's prior to 1986 can be imported. Don't you just love being "protected" by the US Government? What in the world would we do without our government? I can't imagine! </sarcasm>

great project !

and impressive numbers too.

I run a Suzuki GN 250 wich is a single cylinder and am planning to fit a dustbin fairing to it though I will have to do it from scratch.

Your fairing is pretty big and high do you find it noisy ?

No, I do not find my Rifle fairing to be noisy.
I have the Rifle "Sport" fairing.
The Rifle "Superbike" fairing is smaller, and is better suited for 250 cc bikes and smaller.

In the U.S., the Rifle "Sport" fairing is fairly easy to find used.
For some reason, the Rifle "Superbike" fairing is harder to find used.

Excellent stuff LesS! 250cc motorcycles are great machines for great fuel economy and functionality.

Here's to you breaking that 100mpg barrier.

Pump those tires up! I have run 65psi in my Kenda K671 with absolutely no problems for over 20,000miles, and the tire wear is great! You'll notice that steering input will be much more sensitive, which i prefer.

Good to hear from you Bryan.

So what's new with the 100 MPG Ninja?

dr200,
Mine is a "universal" fork brace that I found on ebay.

Take precise measurements of your front fork so when you find a fork brace, you will be able to tell if it can be modified to fit. For more info, see this post: Low Cost Front Fork mods
