99 Accent 35 mpg

Just bought a 1999 Hyundai Accent for $950. Drove up hill for 90 miles and ascended 1800 feet in elevation to get it home while getting 35 mpg. I bought this thing to save me gas since my other ride is a 2002 LR Discovery (17 mpg with a tail wind). So far I like the little car. Shooting for 40 mpg.

$950 midget

Welcome to the site jusnicho.

40mpg should be a piece of cake.

If I were you, I'd look at getting myself an electric vacuum pump. With mountain driving you can drive up the mountain and then turn the engine off the whole way down. But, you need the vacuum pump to keep the power brakes working.
