Thanks for the reply.
My post here was a "newbee" mistake, and I couldn't figure out how to delete it and put it in the right spot.
Yes, I have been digging through the source code and found some answers there. I'm sure more digging will answer more questions!
I emailed Paul and confirmed the info I found was correct, but somethings are not yet functional/tested. (Like throttle-type 1) I suspect things like that are only known by the author.

There is a file called "serial communications" in the package that came with the controller. It contains a lot of what I needed. Somehow I didn't equate the file with configuration help and definitions.
