Best looking hub caps I have ever seen.

They look great as-is.

Care to share where you found them ? Are they still available ?

They were under a citroen cx. I don.t know if they are standard. Because no logo. But these cars got alot of smooth hubcaps in the eighties. I don.t think they are availeble enymore. Also the audi's and volvo's from the and of the eighties have smoothe hubcaps. Mine are also very light. Lighter then my smaller universal hubcaps i had on

The embossed pattern on the covers looks a lot like Citroen's logo,so I'd think that the ARE an OEM part.

Are those lines embossed or are they actual louvers? They remind of a design that Harry Bradley did in one of his drawings, that I reproduced in Photoshop.

Just enough venting to cool the brakes.

Why black? They will disappear. Maybe body color? I got a set of wheels I'm going to 'paint', but the plan is satin black powder-coat (to conserve them, they're semi-rare Marathon wheels) top-coated with Real Aluminum Plastidip with a Pearlizer top coat. I'm hoping for a finish like you see on high-end aftermarket wheels, on steelies.

They are louvres. But they are all four the same direction. So one side is blowing while the other side is pumping. Too bad.

Those plastic grey bumpers you see on my car are getting painted the same black. And also the underside of the line you can see at the doors is going to be painted black. I had a red ford ka that had it like that and looked great.

And so the hubcaps are also going to be painted black. And because one is already damaged on the surface.
