Aero X Truck Lids - Yay or Nay?

They claim better economy.

Color me skeptical. I guess it's better than nothing, but that seems shaped more for aesthetics than anything else.

It looks good to me, steeper than the template but that spoiler is helping to compensate for that.

We have seen this one before and explored it.

It fails the template far worse than one would think.

It is handsome to my eyes, to other people not so much.

I should clarify, I examined the short bed version similar to the opening post.

I do not know if they offer a long bed version, that could change things a bit.

I suspect that one would see some improvement.Their design dates to at least the late-1970s Mitsubishi-built Dodge/Plymouth Colt-Daytona TC3 variants.Compared to the notchback these fastbacks did register a little lower drag.
I'm in the 'way out ahead of nothin' camp.

It would be improved aerodynamically with more taper in plan to match the loft line, but that impinges on it's carrying capacity.
