In the interest of full disclosure, please note that I work for a small fuel distributor.

That said, we have several locations with drive-through car washes. There's a sign outside EVERY car wash that says to the effect, "Not Responsible For Damage." Then, we added a second sign that said more specifically: "Not Responsible For Damage to Pontiac Grand Am Mirrors." You'd think the OEM's would consider some folks don't want to actually bust the bubbles on their car, so they use an automatic car wash.

If you buy those aero-looking mirrors, stay away from automatic car washes.

The stock mirrors on my E150 are 10" from car body to outside (including the stalks) and about 9" tall.

I made up some turbulators about one inch high and two inches long. I taped them to the front fender lip. I started with 3 on the drivers side and added another 3 and added 4 to the passenger side. The wind noise with windows open is much reduced. Perhaps I have just moved the drag around. I have another 6 ready to mount.
