Sometimes you do things that kick the crap out of your gas mileage.

Here's mine.

Do you have any?

Why not use a cargo box on the back?

Why yes, but this goes back to 1970. After the collision and 'repair' It lost 5mph in top speed. No idea what it did to the mileage; that was pre-OPEC.

To buy a replacement would be prohibitive. I'd never recoup the investment.

HHOTDI took what he had and moved it. His fuel mileage went up compared to not having it at all.

Turn yours around so it tapers to the rear.

That's one of the reasons I bought a hatchback.

I found America's least efficient personal vehicle. Photo(s)...

Astonishing in its complexity & lack of efficiency. Enjoy!

Can you find anything more ridiculous?

How about the bicycles mounted on the roof I see so often. We have to carry our spare tire on the roof of our Gran Caravan. I would say a canoe on the roof makes an excellent cargo carrier based on our family experience.

Since I own a roof rack Ive considered getting something like this and use the box for on top of car and the trailer for towing other stuff.

78" Tag-Along Trailer - 600 Lb. Capacity
