It probably wouldn't sell as well if they'd done that...

Funny, though, that they'd mention that it keeps the .25 Cd... since there are obvious improvements, such as the wheel covers, there must also be obvious detractors, as well... Instead of modeling the kit to keep the same Cd, they could have worked a little harder to make it a little better, eh?

Hello -

I don't advocate for or against this website, but it does have a lot of Prius exterior goodies in one place :

Toyota could and would offer a dealer option of a lower .cd oriented aero-body kit if they thought the ROI was going to benefit the company. We all know there are plenty of things they left on the table when they decided to build the NHW20s because they thought it wouldnt fly in the mainstream market. The potential is there for a truely great "drag reducing" kit.

I've seen the car up close and personal.
Not at all the way an ecomodder would have done it, well Except for the wheel covers.
I've got some pics of it around here someplace . . . .

I'm still a fan of style kits, in some cases. I don't like the extremely huge, gaudy POS FG kits that never fit right, but a nice urethane kit that's custom fitted, makes a subtle change to the appearance of the vehicle, and doesn't inherently make retards rev their engines at stop lights, I'm good with.
