Thanks. And the scary thing about it is we still have a twin-screw with dual differentials, as opposed to a single screw with a tag axle setup which is currently in vogue.
Also, we have not closed up the gap between the tractor and the trailer yet. And additionally, we have not yet installed any rear trailer aerodynamic treatment. And everyone here knows how important the rear of any vehicle is.
When all those are done this will be a 15 mpg truck all day long. But what I really want to do is to build new trucks from scratch.

Thanks aerohead.
You're down in the DFW area, correct?
We'll be at the GATS show in Dallas at the end of August if you want to stop by. Please PM me if interested.

Wonderful numbers. I refilled the 367 Pete I am assigned yesterday (and nearly everyday) to the tune of 125/gls at 610-miles. 4.88 mpg. And that's with 50% deadhead (plus or minus extensive idling). Oilfield is a world of it's own, granted, so it's a good comparison to see how far off from the quoted 6.5-mpg . . . and then the otherworldly mpg you are seeing.
Have always enjoyed GATS (but no longer live in Dallas), and here are best wishes for continued reliability over the miles run. Am looking forward to future installments on this truck of yours.

Sorry we missed you skyking. We were in East Seattle at the TA for a ruben sandwich, and we had to boogie out of town. I didn't even have time to meet my local sponsor in Seattle.

sheperd777- That's how I feel. I'm only 16, but besides playing professional baseball, my life's dream would be to open up a manufacturing plant that makes affordable efficient cars. Unfortunately, I don't have millions of dollars sitting around to do that so I have to hope for an investor. It would be really cool if you could get these into production. Not only is there a direct affect of saving gas, but this could completely change the economy by dropping the price of anything that is shipped. Plus, it would help the environment too
Keep up the good work
