gas was 2.87 at the station I always go to this weekend, then you get 5 cents off if you pay in cash (what I love about it!!! ) but this monday it jumped to over 3.18!!! that's over a 3 day period man!

These price jumps are because of the $102 a barrel of crude oil hike that occurred in the last couple of days. I think that one of America's main refineries went up in blazes or something causing this one.

My understanding is that the oil price today at $102 is actually oil futures. That's the price per barrel in April. So the prices we're paying today were based on oil when it was in the $90's. So yea it aint going to get ay cheaper in the upcoming months. Stagflation.

It's up to $3.09 for regular here which is unheard of, at least for a period as long as it's been there. It will occasionally jump to that point during a holiday or something, but it never stays up that high for the full week it's been there this week. Makes me glad I chose to start riding my bike. I filled up last week and so far I've only driven 30 miles . By this time I usually would have driven about 70 miles, I have cut 40 miles out of my weekly commute.
