How much do you think the stops affect your MPG?

I got stopped in the Celeb last year with the tail. Reason was I didn't have the license plate light hooked up yet. Legit reason, even though I've checked after that and about every 3rd car that passes me has a burned out license plate light. He mainly was interested in the tail and seemed rather impressed with the mpg I was getting and asked to take a pic of it, I said sure.

Basjoos wastes much less fuel during these stops than the cops do:
  1. He doesn't leave his engine idling while talking,
  2. He doesn't call in all his buddies to drive across town to have a looksie.

In regards to insurance companies asking questions about whether or not your vehicle is modified.

Neither does mine. My state does require that any modifications have the name of the company that made it visible, so I figure I am safe. I don't have near the number of mods, but I pass through a security check point every day on the way to work, I get quite a few questions, but nobody has ever told me what I am doing is wrong in any way. Plus, the mods are reversible.
