Any ideas to help with very short trips?

My job requires lots of short trips (2 km) with 1/2 to 1 hour gaps in between so the car is basically always cold and is just hitting operating temp at shutdown.
The car is factory fitted with a grill block and the only air that goes through the grill is to the radiator which is out of line with the engine.
Anyone have any ideas on keeping the temperature up between trips?
