Have you tried cleaning the battery electrical cable connections and checked for internal corrosion.

the car is 4 years old and doing that?

On the other way, my dad's '12 Mercedes also crapped it's alternator.

The alt is "unrepairable", aka it has inegrated electronics and charge circuits. Cost a damn lot of €€.

I wish i'd been able to have it to take a look on it

Alternator.

Yes I checked all cables and alternator fails the test at both shops I went to. New alternator solved the dimming lights and random dash lights. I'm being told that with electric steering it puts more strain on the alternator and the fact that Ford puts a weak alternator on it does not help. At least from what I have read the alternator is weak.

I'm typing from work so I may miss a few things.

alternator

I'm not sure about right now,but there used to be an alternator shop in Denton, just north of University Blvd,on the N-W corner, east of TWU,across from Mazatlan's restaurant.
If they're still there, they're a great resource.Keep 'em in mind if you run into future trouble.

Used alternator fer $40 plus shipping from a 2012 Fiesta with about 2000 miles.
Used - 2012 FORD FIESTA - Alternator - Weber Brothers Auto

Seems the original alternator was rated around 60-65 amps.

120 amp alternators from AutoZone come with a limited lifetime warranty fer around $200 and up.

Is this it? It shows the same part with or without the fuel economy package so maybe not. Or wait, maybe they all have this part after 12/11/11. That price is each, there are two sides, so I would look in a U-pull junkyard as they would almost give you that part.

here is a page with a real picture

Thanks.

I tried to view the link but they have it blocked at work lol. I will view it at home. Looks pretty close to what they have in front of the rear tires.

Found grill for it.

Found the grill with the air blocker. I wish It was like the ford focus that has a active grill that will open and close on it's own. I just have to see how hard it is to take the front bumper off to install the grill once I'm able to buy it.
