Anyone else have an Ioniq?

Hey I'm Taylor, and i have a hyundai ioniq hybrid. I used to be pretty active on the ioniq forums, but ever since the ioniq 5 came out ( totally different car) those forums have been hijacked.

Does anyone else have an ioniq hybrid? I'm really looking to increase my mpg and reduce drag. Many others just say '' its a low drag car, hyundai did as much as they could, don't bother increasing fuel economy''

There’s always room for improvement depending upon how unconventional you’re willing your car to appear. To check for potential mpg improvements, find out how much your mileage improves when drafting, as that is your potential for aero modding improvement.

When I draft behind a semi truck, I’ll average about 100 mpg. I’m sure it may be slightly lower, but I get bored going that slow for 30 miles. Maybe I’ll have to draft on a 100 mile stretch in the desert or something

I saw very little mpg improvement when drafting in the Aerocivic because of its very low Cd, whereas with a high Cd vehicle, drafting results in a large mpg improvement.

If I’m driving 40-45 mpg on a smooth rode without constant stop and going, my Ioniq averages probably 85 mpg give or take with 60-70 degree weather and no AC running. That’s with no mods. It’s a nice number but as soon as I go 80-90 mph on the interstate, it drops into the low 40s for mpg.

I wanted an Ioniq, but the dealers wanted way too much for them several years ago, and now prices are insane.

I'm running into the same issue with my Niro EV. Only thing I can find to clean it up is removing the roof rails. Not cross bars, rails.
