An artist, a crash expert and a trauma surgeon walked into a bar...
...and created Graham.
Graham is a product of designing & producing a new species of homo sapiens, an optimized specimen to survive automobile crashes! Australian Transport Accident Commission's Toward Zero road safety program, teamed up an artistic team to make Graham. The graphic shock was intentional and his grotesque features does elicit the awareness. Graham is equipped to survive common crash scenarios.
His brain is protected by a heavy-duty skull, his face does not protrude, concave and covered by fat cushion, having no neck there is no inertial head snapping and reduces spinal injuries. Graham's skin is thick and hardy to avoid lacerations and cuts. There are surface air sacs around his ribs for extra impact protection. He is designed with extra joints in his legs to allow stretching articulation and flexibility.
Check out all the videos of Graham's 'design engineering'.
Meet Graham

Back in the 1960s Popular Science & Mechanix Illustrated (IIRC) ran an article about re-engineering the human body. They had suggestions like a rib cage that was hinged like a clamshell to make heart surgery simpler, nevermind spinal articulation; and an eyeball in the end of you fingertip so you could look over the tops of the crowd at parades. What could possibly go wrong?
We're actually not far from that last one. And I'm wondering now if that wasn't in Mad Magazine.
Anyway, this Graham character is overspecialized. To solve the problem of cars not including a head and neck restraint like NASCAR uses. He would never pass the birth canal.
And those nipples are just gratuitous.

Air-bag equipped, no-neck female version already here (with the added benefit of completely filling up the cockpit space- minimizes being tossed around):
Kind of soft though- might cut easily on shards of glass and plastic (not that it would hurt much). I submit that turtle-like armor is needed (with more coverage for the extremities than this):
Also no protruding noses, or teeth to break. Fathead Graham would still end up with expensive dental reconstructive work.
The excessive mass of Graham's head will not do him any favors in a crash, what with mass x velocity and all. He's going to get in more crashes anyway with that tunnel vision from not being able to look around. People use but a fraction of their brains anyway so why not jettison the extra?
...and/or reinforce the neck:
As an added bonus, power steering could go away for a slight improvement in fuel economy. The now superfluous air bags could be deleted too, saving Takata and the auto manufacturers lots of grief while depriving lawyers of revenue (a win-win).

Maybe MAIDENFORM (bras) should takeover manufacturing of AIRBAGS from TAKATA (wink, wink)?

All kidding aside, in this new era of CRISPR gene editing, this is as possible as anything else.
