I find it interesting they are hitting the Ford F150 market as well. I noticed they state that they have a patent recorded. I wonder if bondo's patent is being infringed on or not.

I see how it will reduce the big vacuum on the truck but it goes against what we have all seen here with trucks laid against the "template"... hopefully aerohead will find this and chime in.

It likely helps, but sure doesn't look optimal.

Great marketing though: Truck Mullet! :D

And if this is a case of patent infringement, maybe this is how Bondo strikes it rich. :)

Or at least gets some royalties.

Ask the small company in Florida that has been collecting $99 per Prius from Toyota.

I just looked at it.It's way out ahead of nothing. It's 'different' enough to get its own design patent.
It will help with drag reduction,as the 1983 T-bird roof had an advantage over the Cougar.

Good grief! This looks like a much more professionally executed version of my old rubber apparition. No windows. Totally dependent on side mirrors for rear visibility. A bear to park. Comes flush to the tailgate. Tapers in at the sides.

See my avatar.

Differences: Mine was straight. His is concave.
Mine had no lid. His has one.
Mine was plywood and rubber matting. His is fiberglass.

But the concave shape, while not aerodynamically optimum is pleasing to the eye.

“I’ve got a couple wind tunnels in my basement that I do development with,” Holubar said.

Wait... WHAT?

This is hilarious ...

"when I was building the topper overnight, the back was concave instead of convex,” Holubar said. “And so I thought, ‘I’m not going to go through rebending all this plywood, so I’m just going to leave it as it is.’"

IOW, I discovered this magic thing by a lazy accident.

Yet another riff on Bondo's theme.
