Been blessed in finding treasures.!
I just wanted to share a couple of Happy experiences of the goodness of life in hopes that it might encourage someone who is struggling to reach a dream or a goal! I have two 1987 Honda CRX is at home. One is an SI and the other is an HF. I switched trannies between the two as the higher horsepower SI can pull the HF type gearing easier, and the HF can use the SI gearing to be a little more useful on the bottom end, and I would not Cruise the HF at much higher speed anyway! So the spoiler on the back of the SI is warped as if it were down in the Mojave desert too long or something. So I was looking for a way to remedy that situation, and found a nice 1986 CRX with bad engine but good manual tranny and a perfect hatchback on it for $350. The side trim and both bumpers will be very useful for me because I intend the kind of hide the si's looks, so it will look more just like a regular DX. Love being of semi retirement age, I still like the part-time gig of delivering big trucks out of state. And I still like sporty cars with stiff suspensions. That is a lot of jarring and shaking for the old human body! So the for the last couple of weeks, I've been looking for a Citroen BX. I struggled with the language barrier and did have contact with the dealer in Austria, but when I asked apparently too many questions and made it clear that they would have to fill out papers for export purposes which I guess they didn't want to lift a finger to do, they ghosted me. Then I found a perfect car in the Paris area, but you had to go through a second party to leave a refundable deposit before you could even get any contact information with the car's owner. That would have been fine except as an american, I was blocked out as only European countries are accepted in that system! The Paris car was fine was only online for like six days. I tried my best to work toward that situation yesterday to no avail, lo and behold, today it was marked already sold. No big surprise there! Today I put a deposit down on the only Citroen BX available for sale in the United States today! I am giddy, like a little kid waiting for Christmas morning. Next week I'll be delivering a truck down the west coast to the Port of San diego, but after that I will be taking a little vacation and preparing my tow vehicle and trailer to go get it in Pennsylvania. It would be cheaper to have it open shipped to me, but I want to kind of make a vacation out of this. I'm so electronically challenged, that it would take me forever to post any pictures on here so I will simply say that if you Google up Citroen BX for sale you will see the red one that's listed under hemmings and being sold in Pennsylvania. It needs some work as the badges on the back are in the opposite of correct place, the Citroen Chevron on the front hood is upside down, and the black belt molding looks like it was glued on by a 6-year-old, but with a vinyl wrap and a little bit of tinkering, I think I will have something special here, and won't have to fight with the language barriers, or exorbitant shipping rates. For those of you who don't know, this is supposed to be the last Citroen model that has the special hydraulic-like suspension that makes you feel like riding on a cloud! I still enjoy delivering the trucks, and driving other cars with stiff suspension, but it's a bucket list thing to experience the softest riding car in the world at an affordable price that model wise, it is more reliable because of the Peugeot take over with now the more conservative instrument gauges, and running gear, with the exception of of course this suspension. The earlier DS was very rust prone and in nice shape is pretty expensive, and the CX was known to have electrical connection issues. I actually would have preferred a diesel model, but this has almost the smallest size engine, so I should be able to still get good mileage. This is the BX14 TGE. E for economy! I am knocking on the door of my 70th birthday so this is sort of a present to myself. My immediate and extended family are typical non-car enthusiast, so I'm sure they could not relate to how overjoyed I am to have found a little piece of treasure! Since I am slow and struggle with anything electronic, if you would like to view the car for yourself, simply Google Citroen BX for sale, and it's under hemmings, it's the red one in Pennsylvania. I am thinking to vinyl wrap it in a light conservative Brown, Fawn color. Sorry to be so long-winded but I'm not wired to be a politician. Cheers!

I'm not going to look at all the ads. Is it the $32,000 one or the $5000 one?
Why not the one in Portland? No vacation?
