Been lurking for awhile but not anymore.

Hello all. I've been lurking around on the forums for a few months now and finally decided to register after getting some decent results out of the information I've read on here. I'm currently driving a 1994 3.8 Liter auto Mustang. Before finding this site my previous best MPG was a little over 12 mostly highway (I had a lead foot). Thankfully though after some reading and alot of work on my part so far I am at 22.45 mpg over the last 90 days according to the fuel log I put in here. So for starters thanks a lot to everyone on here. You have saved this college student a decent amount of money already and that is always a plus. Aside from the money saving it has now turned into a game between me and my gf to see how much better we can do in the mpg department. So thanks for everything I have learned so far and thanks in advance for what I will learn in the future here. Hopefully I can contribute a little something to the information pool here.

Welcome to the site! The game factor definitely is a good part of it all. Any mods planned for the vehicle?

Going to work on the free/cheap ones first like Grill block, wheel cover, rear wheel skirts etc. then when time comes up for maintenance stuff switch over all fluids to synthetics and when money allows buy a scanguage and build a nice metal full underpan probably. I would like to trade it in for something that gets better mileage to start with but I've had the car for almost 8 years now and the only problems I've had with it was I had to rebuild the transmission but it also had 150k+ miles on it so that was coming soon probably anyway, and I'm having problems with an O2 sensor now other than that just routine maintenance. The fact that I'm going back to college right now and the car is paid for is also another reason I'm looking into getting all I can out of it for now.
