GEM electric car drive system for 3 wheeler?

The GEM electric lo-speed car uses a front wheel drive system, and decent looking suspension system . Could it be used as a reverse tryke set up for a 3 wheeler?
I am thinking of a set up like the RQ Riley XR3 but with electric in the front, and a motorcycle drive in the rear like his Trimagnum.

Just saw one at auction from a school district, and the bid was $325. Looked like it was the victim of a joyride or possibly school did not want to foot a bill for new batteries.

Probably, yeah, but most models are hardly faster than a bicycle. Perhaps using much larger wheels would be an easy way to increase top speed, but the track is pretty narrow too. For that price, it might be worth a shot.

At the expense of acceleration response, which might become somewhat dangerous for a road-going vehicle.
