NOAA 2022 Atlantic Basin Hurricane forecast
Yesterday, on the news, it was reported that NOAA predicts 14-to-22 named tropical storms for 2022 season. It would be the 7th-consecutive, above-normal activity season.
Something to monitor between now and early November.
Get your scorecards ready.
26-C sea-surface temperature is a trigger point for rapid intensification and CAT- 4 and CAT-5 hurricanes.
Presently, water temps off the Yucatan Peninsula are already as warm as 28.3-C.
Things in the Gulf of Mexico could be lively. Again.

Season begins early and with a record
1) Cat-2, Hurricane Agatha came ashore, Southern Mexico, Monday, May 30, as the most powerful storm for the Eastern Pacific, for the month of May.
2) There's a 60% chance that Agatha's upper rotation will survive the transit across land, and reconstitute as Tropical Storm Alex, heading for the Yucatan Peninsula, and the ' Hot Tub' of the Gulf of Mexico, as a component of the Atlantic system.

If we have a good solar storm during that window I guarantee development into a very strong hurricane.

Tropical Depression, Invest 91L
1) Hurricane Agatha's remnant is presently in the Gulf of Mexico region as Tropical Depression, Invest 91L.
The National Hurricane Center has scheduled a hurricane hunter mission for today.
Upper level shear winds will determine Invest's evolution.
Tropical storm watches will be issued regardless of what, if any further development takes place.

With watches posted the watchers have done due diligence. It's up to individuals to be vigilante or not.
It's going to be a 'soaker' anyway they cut it. If it pulls off a stationary front fun-house trick, it could just 'sit' there and flood, on top of flooding.
