Aero “Race Mirrors”?
Seen these recently. They have little clear extensions (polycarbonate, I assume) on the aft edges of the mirror’s housing. I’m thinking the extensions help extend flow and taper it inward to reduce the wake, which is backed up by the site’s diagrams.
Anybody use something similar to these? A mirror delete makes more sense but the local police are ticket-hunters and the laws are vague so I’d prefer to keep two functional mirrors on the car.

A big advantage of them is probably the thin stock they are sitting on as well as sitting further away from the cars body.

There've been threads on mirrors before with similar designs. This example ticks most of the boxes.
I can't find the thread with the clear annular shroud, but here's one from 2014: ecomodder.com/forum/showthread.php/mirror-designs-if-we-cant-use-cameras-yet

Some motorcycle mirrors do the same job at a lower price.

True, Motorcycle mirrors work. I want something that matches the lines of my EK coupe, and I can’t really find any Moto mirrors that look *right*. However, I do have some free mirrors off a Chevette that look good to me. Might mess around with them.

I posted those mirrors only about a month ago in another thread:

They do look good to me, not exactly cheap though.

look good
they're reminiscent of Porsche's 1996 911 GT1 race car, body-wise. Their stalks would be even better. Hoerner's book shows their fineness ratio aerodynamic supremacy.
