Talking Best tank ever in my G2 Insight

I did this fill-up two days ago.

587.4 mi
10.463 gal (US)
$3.259 /gallon (87 Octane Ethanol-Free)
56.14 mpg (US)

Ethanol-free really helps. I had been driving my G1 a lot which gets me to drive slower when I'm in the G2. I never used A/C even though it was really hot out. I'm really glad I have the heat-resistant window-tint! But fortunately a lot of driving was at night. G2 Insight was rated 41mpg combined. This tank was probably two-thirds highway, one-third city.

Wow that's really good! What kind of numbers do you get in crawling, horrible stop and go traffic?

That's a heck of a G2 tank. I take it you weren't driving for Uber/Lyft on that one...

Nice going!

How much of a difference does ethanol make, can you say?

I'd expect it might be even a bigger difference on the lean burn G1 Insight, no?

From what I have seen other users post it still isn't worth it. You either barely break even on the mileage gained or are 1-3% in the negative.

I could never find adverse effects from ethanol blends in my G2 Insight, there is nothing between regular 'Euro 95' (about 4% ethanol, varies), German E10 (10%) and Blue One (15%).
Nowadays I cannot get Blue One cheaper than regular anymore, and I'd have to make a detour anyway, so that's gone.
