I thought that I had read that it was expensive at Home Depot, although I imagine they give a bulk discount. How much have you guys paid at sign wholesalers?
I may have mentioned somewhere, an old teacher ran for election and posted pictures on Facebook of his campaign signs. I thought that I could have put them to good use and I do not know who else would, besides an Ecomodder, I just felt bad that he lost the election.

How many of you guys prototype with cardboard and how many with coroplast? I just wonder if it would be worth trying out cardboard before using coroplast. I found five 48"x96" sheets for $16.25 and $2.76 each for ten or more at Double Faced Corrugated, so if you could actually ever use ten sheets of coroplast, it might be worth going through cardboard first.

My last post was from a tablet, so I didn't give the full URL.
PolyMetal—High-density polyethylene (HDPE) with aluminum face and back.
PolyMetal Lite—High-density polyethylene (HDPE) with aluminum face.
I've experimented with rolling/braking/shearing samples; it's really stout. My local supplier is Multicraft Plastics. They quote $110 for a 4x8 sheet. It also come in 4x10 and 5x10' which might save buying a extra sheet for any given size project. So, 10 times as expensive as coroplat that's out of stock. Nudo have other products that might be of interest:
Basically aluminum skinned coroplast,I haven't got pricing:
AlumaCorr—Corrugated/fluted polypropylene copolymer with aluminum on both sides.

Features and Benefits
Innovative white or black corrugated polypropylene core provides a lightweight, durable panel.
Finished with aluminum on both sides.
Excellent panel for exterior use as it will not corrode nor rust.
UL - Listed.

1/4, 1/2 or 3/4" plywood skinned with vinyl:
WhiteWood—Smooth vinyl face laminated to exterior grade plywood (one or two sided.)

Appreciate you sharing this—definitely bookmarked
Do you usually start prototyping with cardboard or jump straight to coroplast? I'm thinking of testing with double-faced corrugated cardboard sheets first. Found a deal on Ucanpack: five 48"x96" sheets for $18.50, and if you grab ten or more, it's just $3.25 each. Might be smarter to experiment with cardboard before committing to a full coroplast setup

Use what ever you can find, stiff paper, cardboard, corrugated cardboard whatever.
Use the paper products as templates for the plastic, wood and or metal finals.

Group Buys aren't big on this forum, but definitely an option.
ie: You get say 4-5 (or more = cheaper) close-by guys together that each want 2-3 sheets and just send the sheets on to them.
I have done/run a good number of group buys on other forums.
They saved everyone a ton of money and it's basically tradition that the organizer gets to add 10-20% for his trouble.
